The Spectre of China. Art and Cultural Identities.

We are pleased to invite you to the conference The Spectre of China: Art and Cultural Identities that will take place at the University of Westminister, London, on June 23, 2009. Organised by Dr. Katie Hill from the Office of Contemporary Chinese Art and Dr. Cangbai Wang, the conference aims to revisit critical cultural debates about diasporic Chinese identities in the field of artistic and cultural practice and to problematise the picture of “Chinese” art practices internationally by bringing an alternative view of China into play.
